- Day 1 – Welcome to Sri Lanka – arrive in Colombo:
We start our journey at Colombo airport. We will relax after the trip in our hotel or on the beach. In the evening we will have a traditional dinner - Day 2 – Negombo – fishing town:
After breakfast, we will have a city tour of Negombo – a city famous for its sandy beaches, fishing culture, and catholic majority. For the city tour, we will use tuk-tuks. We will also visit a fish market to understand why the fishing industry is so vital for the city. We will have dinner and a party in the evening. - Day 3 – Puttalam – salt and lagoon:
After breakfast, we will head north to the city of Puttalam, which is known for coconut and salt production as well as for the Muslim majority. We will have a tuk-tuk tour of the city, region, and salt production facility. We will have dinner in a local restaurant and a party in the evening. - Day 4 – Mannar – Adam’s bridge:
After breakfast, we will head north to Mannar, where we can find the famous natural Adam’s bridge – the closest point to India. On our way, we will stop in historical Anuradhapura, where we will see a Buddhist shrine. Once we get to Mannar, we will go to Mannar Island and see Talai Mannar Lighthouse. Hindu Tamils dominate the region. - Day 5 – Jaffna – northern capital:
After breakfast, we will go on a tuk-tuk city tour of Jaffna. The city is considered one of the most beautiful; however, due to the war that ended in 2009, tourists have forgotten it. In the afternoon, we will head to the coastal town of Trincomalee. We will have dinner and a party in the evening. - Day 6 – Trincomalee – tropical paradise:
We will have free time to relax and explore during the first half of the day. We will go to the Hindu temple on a hill with breathtaking views in the afternoon. In the evening we will have dinner and a party. - Days 7 – Kandy – culture and elephants:
After breakfast, we will head to Kandy – a beautiful town known for its architecture and Buddhist temples. Once we arrive, we will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic (a sacred tooth of the Buddha) and botanical gardens. In the afternoon, we will go to Pinnawala, where we will visit an elephant orphanage and natural spice market. In the evening we will have dinner with a beautiful view. - Day 8 – Tea plantation and mountains:
After breakfast, we will head toward tea plantations and mountains. We will make a few stops on this scenic way to enjoy breathtaking views. In the afternoon, we will have a tea plantation tour with tea tasting. We will spend the night in a private villa where we will have a party. - Day 9 – Nuwara Eliya – breathtaking drive and train:
After breakfast, we will go on a tea plantation safari. After the safari, we will explore the region and take the famous train ride from Ella to Nuwara Eliya (one of the world’s most famous and scenic train rides). In the afternoon, we will explore Nuwara Eliya – a British colonial town known for its mild climate. We will spend the night in a private villa where we will have dinner and a party. - Day 10 – Western province – Indian ocean:
After breakfast, we will head west to the coast, where we will stay in the resort on the Indian ocean. In the afternoon we will have free time to relax. - Day 11 – Western province – Ayurweda therapy:
We will spend this day relaxing and taking care of our bodies. We will go to Ayurweda spa for massages, body treatments, and a traditional sauna. - Day 12 – Western province – relax or adventure:
During this day, we will have two possibilities: one is to relax at our resort, and the second is a trip to Galle – a beautiful coastal town known for Portuguese architectural buildings and the Galle Fort. We will have a goodbye dinner and party in the evening. - Day 13 – Goodbye Sri Lanka – depart from Colombo:
After breakfast, we end our journey at Colombo airport.
