Wine, tango, steaks, nature, culture and party
Argentina is a magic country surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean from the east and the Andes mountains from the west, the country is extremely diverse geographically and offers breathtaking nature. Uruguay is an extremely interesting country that has recently been discovered by an increasing number of tourists. On one hand the most developed country in South America and on the other hand known for its beautiful beaches, numerous monuments, agriculture, folklore, and extraordinary cuisine, which combines elements of Italian, Spanish, Argentinian, Brazilian, and Indian cuisine. We will experience the beauty of Argentina and Uruguay on a unique journey through these two stunning countries. We will explore the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, with its wide boulevards and lively culture, before heading to the countryside for a glimpse of the stunning Andes mountains and breathtaking vine regions around Mendoza. After that we will enjoy the beaches of Uruguay’s stunning east coast and sample its delicious cuisine.
- Day 1 – Welcome to Argentina – arrive in Buenos Aires:
We start our journey at the Buenos Aires airport. Arrive in Buenos Aires. We will have a quick lunch followed by free time to rest after the trip. The evening will be dominated by Argentinian cuisine as we will enjoy a welcome dinner – the highest quality meats, cheeses, and great wines. After the dinner, an optional night out in the city. - Day 2 – Buenos Aires – colorful and vibrant city:
After breakfast, we will have a city tour with a guide (La Boca district, Matanza River, Caminito, La Bombonera stadium, Puerto Madero, Monserrat district, Plaza de Mayo street, Recoleta, and Palermo). During the tour, we will have a lunch break in one of Buenos Aires iconic restaurants. After that time, we will have dinner in the Puerto Madera district, followed by a party in the city. - Day 3 – Buenos Aires – culture and cusine:
After breakfast, we will go on a city tour with a guide (San Telmo neighborhood, Defensa Street, Dorrego market, Lezama park, Retiro district, Teatro Colon, Nacional de Arte Decorativo museum). During the tour, we will have lunch in a traditional Argentinian restaurant. In the evening, we will go to a tango class and a tango dance show and then to dinner, during which an authentic Argentinian steak will reign. - Day 4 – Mendoza – nature at its finest:
After breakfast, we will fly to Mendoza (2h flight), located in the vineyard region and at the foot of the Andes. We will enjoy a traditional regional dinner and a party at our hotel in the evening. - Day 5 – Mendoza – wine and wineries:
After breakfast, we will have a full-day tour of the vineyards (Lujan de Cuyo and Uco Valley wine regions, Chacras de Coria village). During the trip, we will visit a few wineries, where we will learn about the process of making wine, and we will have the opportunity to take part in the winetasting. We will have lunch with a well-matched wine in one of the visited wineries. After returning to our hotel, we will have dinner and a party. - Day 6 – Mendoza – majectic Andes:
After breakfast, we will go on a full-day trip to the Andes (Pan-American Highway drive, Aconcagua, Las Cuevas, Poterillos, Puente del Inca, Uspallata, a short mountain hike, Pichueta). Food will be provided during our tour. After returning, we will have dinner and a party. - Days 7 – Montevideo – boat cruise:
After breakfast, we will flight back to Buenos Aires, from where we will take a cruise to Montevideo (5h cruise). We will have lunch in the port and dinner after arriving in Montevideo. - Day 8 – Montevideo – culture and party:
After breakfast, we will go on a city tour (Old Town, Port Market, Plaza Independencia, Centenario Stadium). We will have lunch at the Port Market, where we will try authentic Uruguayan cuisine. After sightseeing, we will walk along La Rambla – the road along the coast- and spend some time on the beach. In the evening, we will have the opportunity to try Uruguayan steak (the possibility of comparing it with Argentinian steak and seeing which one is better). After dinner, we will enjoy an evening party in the city. It is worth adding that Montevideo is known as the city with the best nightlife in South America. - Day 9 – Montevideo – beach and Atlantic Ocean:
After breakfast, we will have free time to enjoy the beach. After lunch, we will head back to Buenos Aires. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner and party. - Day 10 – Goodbye Argentina and Uruguay – depart from Buenos Aires:
After breakfast we end our journey at the airport.
